Find New Keywords With Google Tools

How to use the Google Search-based Keyword Tool to find new keywords

keyword-focus1

Finding keywords is a time consuming process. Researching the many different options, selecting the best keywords that will draw in the right audience, and implementing those keywords into your SEO and SEM strategies can very quickly eat into your precious time. Therefore reducing the amount of time spent on the primary focus of your business.

I’m sure if you run your own enterprise you know the pressures of having to assume the role of, principal employee, marketer, logistics manager, accountant and more! Once you ad online marketing to the mix you begin to find you have little time for your core business activities. Even if you’re carrying out online marketing for a purely web based business, there is no doubt that a hefty chunk of your time could be eaten up keeping abreast of the most effective online marketing strategies.

Keyword research and implementation is just one of the essentials of online marketing, and I’m sure anyone who has attempted to undertake this task will attest to the fact that it’s time consuming. The reality is that finding, implementing and analysing keywords could be a full-time job all of it’s own! Search engine giant Google provides tools that allow the user to find keywords and carry out research on the keywords usage. Google offers several options for keyword research, and each one has it own unique strengths and advantages depending upon what it is you intend to apply the keywords to.

Google offers the useful AdWords tool. This handy tool will assist users in the research of the most commonly searched for words, which can then be used in your AdWord campaign. With this tool you can ensure that you are targeting competitive keywords and keyword phrases which will give you the best results when promoting your website through PPC advertisements.

Another smart feature of the Google keyword tool is allowing users to run searches on specific keywords providing accurate feedback from Google’s research into search queries. This tool provides users with the ability to see precisely what words and phrases consumers have been using to conduct their online searches. This is a useful tool when it comes to viewing the keyword phrases and word combination’s that people most commonly type in search engines. This can also help if you are looking for niche areas of the market to target.

Finally, you might want to use the Google keyword research tool to match your web pages with ad and search share. This useful tool can help you to carry out both SEO and SEM improvements for your website and your (PPC) pay per click ads. I highly recommend investigating these options and starting to make use of these tools if you are serious about creating an online presence.

Analyzing Site Performance & Enhancing Your Online Success

brisbane_technologies_webdesigner_photo1

How many of your pages are ranked number-1 on Google? how do you keep track of each individual web pages performance? – you could use Contextured to do it
Analyzing your online success and the areas that you could improve upon should be part of your ongoing efforts to improve your results and ensure you meet your business targets.  If you are working on improving your search engine ranking, then your goal should be to to have your website ranked number 1. Of course, this may not happen right away, but I’m sure you’ll agree this is a goal worth aiming for.  When you have a clear focus on the SEO and SEM outcomes you hope to achieve, then you can begin to implement strategies to ensure you move toward that goal.
Analysing site performance means you can measure the success (and failure) of the strategies you are using to increase your site ranking. Once you have selected keywords and phrases that you are targeting, you can track how you are progressing within the search engines results listings for those target words.

One way in which I recommend you approach this analysis is by keeping track of each individual web page’s performance.  If you have one major focal page on your site, then you might simply track the progress of that page. However, if you have a number of pages and are targeting various keywords and phrases for each, then will be for your best benefit to track all your pages online performance. You should analyze how visitors view those pages, duration spent on those pages and visitors movement around your site.
There are useful tools such as Google Analytics that will help you manage the process of tracking and analyzing your site. Analytics generally require that you place coding on your site and this then tracks the the number and online behavior of visitors you receive. You can then view reports on the number of pages they visited, the amount of time spent on the site, where they arrived from and their geographic location, among other things.  Using this information you can then work out if you are reaching the goals and return on investment you hope for through your website and any advertising you are carrying out.

If this all sounds time consuming and complicated, then I recommend you take a look at what Contextured can do for you. It can simplify the process of tracking and analysing data regarding your websites performance.  That’s great news if you’re uncertain about the technicalities of implementing analytics, or if you simply haven’t the time to spend on manually carrying out the ‘legwork’. It will monitor how each of your pages rank for their relevant keywords across the major search engines. It will suggest changes you could make to your pages in order to improve in organic results and it will show you exactly where and when customers find your pages.

Think Relevancy in SEM and Relevancy in SEO

Creative Landing Page Ads – Ensuring Your Ad Creative is Relevant to the Landing Page

Focus on your landing page when building new ad groups to keep them relevant

pay-per-click-finally

If your website has landing pages that you want customers to visit, then Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is a great way to deliver results. PPC advertising is an excellent way to build up the number of incoming customers, drawing in a targeted audience of potential buyers. To ensure you are attracting qualified buyers to your website, it is essential to ensure there is a strong link between the content on your landing page and the content of the ads. This is relevancy and it is greatly rewarded by Search Engines and Advertising Networks.

Relevancy is vital when carrying out both search engine optimisation (SEO) or search engine marketing (SEM) activitiy. The reason it is so important, is because all listings in search engines are placed by computerised algorithms. That includes PPC ads that will appear beside search engine results. If you’re conducting a PPC campaign, then the relevancy of the advertisements will dictate their placement in search engine results and cost.

If you keep in mind the most relevant keywords and key phrases used on the landing page whilst writing your ads, then you can be confident the advertisements you write will attract an audience of eager buyers. If you’re struggling to get started, then you might like to use a tool that will help you to generate quality ads based upon the content of your landing page. The Contextured ad generation tool works well and can save you a lot of time and effort when writing creative ads that tie in closely to the content on your landing page.

contextured-logo-54

The same principles that you implement when structuring the landing page can be carried over and adopted when it comes to creating your PPC ads. Your goal is to drive highly targeted traffic to your website so that you get a steady number of sales at the lowest cost. Using PPC ads can be expensive, therefore you want to ensure you get a steady stream of eager buyers reaching your site, not a bunch of ‘tyre kickers’ who will bounce from your site to another without purchasing anything.

To maximise your PPC success write relevant advertisements that clearly target the audience and match the landing pages they lead to.

Simplified Search Management Interface Debuts
By Michael Oxley No Comments

It is with great pride and delight that I can announce the debut of the new Contextured user interface! This version sees a return to our core values of relevance and simplicity.  We found (indeed you told us) that the interface had become somewhat complex as we had continued to add features over the last three months. Well we have simplified from 15 menus(!) down to six without losing any functionality in the process.

The key to both SEO and SEM is relevancy and so the new user interface starts with your site; your webpages and lets you work from there. Working with ads and keywords in the context of the page they will be delivering traffic is important from a quality score perspective.

contextured-user-interface-version2 contextured-landing-pages

We have always ranked your pages across all of the major search engines to track your oragnic keyword performance. The new user interface lets you quickly see how each of your pages ranks and the SEO tips are there to help you improve each and every page. Another new feature is the social media tracker to help you monitor which of your pages are generating buzz!

Over the next week or two we will update all of the help pages to reflect the changes. If you find any bugs or would like to add any comments, please use the new feedback system that we have integrated. Its the small blue tab in the left hand-corner. Clicking it will open a feedback area where you can vote on the suggestions of others and also contribute your own.

We think with this release we are clearly demonstrating our commitment to providing business owners with answers, not questions with our simple and profitable web marketing platform.

PPC Location, Location, Location
By Michael Oxley No Comments

Carrying out traffic analysis can help you understand a good deal about your website visitors. You’ll be able to see what content attracts the most attention, which PPC ads are generating the most visitors and where your visitors are located. Geo-targeting is simply focusing on this last element. Instead of focusing on bringing in visitors from all over the web, you can focus on driving more visitors from one particular geographic location.

I would suggest that you consider implementing strategies for geo-targeting if you are promoting a service that is bound to one geographic location. While selling information products could mean you have the ability to promote to people across the globe, if you’re a mechanic in Manchester in the UK, then you don’t want to be driving masses of traffic from Manchester in the US!

There are many examples of geo-targeting, but the essential focus is that you are aiming to promote your business online to a target audience based upon location as well as interest in the product. This could mean incorporating an offline promotional element into your online marketing mix, or it could mean developing online strategies to market to people in your area.

Traffic analysis allows you to track who is visiting your site and where they are coming from. This means you could look at creating an online marketing campaign and PPC ads that mention a specific location in order to boost visitors that are specifically looking for goods and services in your area.

By carrying out traffic analysis once you have created a campaign that is targeting one particular geographic location, you can assess whether it is achieving the results you desire. In other words, you could track the location of your visitors, in order to ensure that you are reaching prospects in your vicinity.

Geo-targeting is a useful way of narrowing your focus on the most appropriate target market. Attracting a ton of traffic to your site will be an expensive waste of time if the visitors you receive will have little or no use for your products or services. However, it could be very lucrative if you drive a smaller number of geo-targeted visitors and achieve a significantly higher conversion rate.

Contextured includes several geo-targeting features. It will help identify regions to geo-target, clone campaigns with geo-targeting rules enabled and track geo-conversions across both SEO and SEM. If you’re looking to improve your PPC return on investment through geo-targeting or other optimizations, Contextured is the simple and profitable web marketing solution.
